Unmistakably Nordic in flavor, Sofia Talvik somehow still conforms to American interpretations of her own original music, a North Sea siren blending sparkle and melancholy, creating a special niche of folk music.
Janne is mastering the new EP ‘V – Part Three of L.O.V.E’ and I joined him in the studio. I was also told I’ll never be a drummer, but we’ll see about that mr Joakim …

The new EP is coming along nicely! My producer Janne Manninen has just started mixing the songs and I’m happy to give you not one, but TWO previews of the new songs. Here’s also some crazy pics from our studio!
Jonestown:
Each producer got to choose one of my old songs to make a re-make of. Janne chose ‘Jonestown’ from my third album and made it into an electronica version. We’ve also changed the lyrics on the chorus to my original lyrics that didn’t make the final cut on the first version.
I just found out that my song ‘Something Good’ was played in an episode of the satirical comedy show Children’s Hospital.
The song was played in the end credits of episode ‘Father’s Day’ and is from my third album ‘Jonestown’ which you can find here! The Swedish actress Malin Åkerman is starring in the show so thumbs up for us blonde Swedish girls!
The video for ‘Glow’ has been well received and I totally love it too. Jesper Jonsson is so talented it almost hurts. So did you know that he actually made all those animations by hand??? Yes he sure did, and I just got my hands on the original footage from the animated scenes. So if you’re wondering how all those things came to be, you can watch them here:
