Rocking Toronto!

We had a great gig in Toronto last night. We played at Bread & Circus in Kensington Market, a lovely area that reminded me alot of Ashbury Heights in San Fransisco. Lots of organic food and alternative clothing.
At first we were a bit dissapointed, after the last band had soundchecked for like two hours, we were told to hurry up and got a 10 minute soundcheck. Luckily we’re pretty few and pretty well prepaired so we were ok anyway. The show was great, Jonas played the iPhone, Jocke descended to an old piano in the midst of the audience for “Will you call me when you’re sober” and “Jonestown and Christian was brilliant as always.

The best thing though was to meet so many nice people. Some that I have had contact with via myspace and facebook and a Norweigan artist called Ingrid Olava and her band. I really liked their gig, so check them out! At midnight jetlag set in on me and I had to go back to the studio for some sleep. Not surprisingly the band stayed behind… I really must get better at this rock’n’roll lifestyle!

Here’s a small vid from last nights gig, as Jonas is on stage with us most of the time now, there’s not a lot of live videos but I hope you enjoy this short piece from “Running out of you”.

2nd highest building in the world

We’ve just been up in the CN tower in Toronto. Pretty high up. they even had a glass floor that you could walk on, nothing for people who are afraid of hights I tell you. My drummer Joakim and I jumped on it, though our instincts did scream noooo! Tonight we’re showcasing on Bread&Circus, 9pm. I feel like I’m coming down with a cold, the worst possible scenario, but I do have like the worst immune system in the world. I’ve been fed with echinaguard and esberitox by my band so hopefully it will pass quickly.

New video released

So you thought my last music video was retro with its 50’s theme? Well you aint seen nothing yet! This is the new video for my single “Clown” and this time I decided I would do it all by myself. So I did all the make-up and styling and filmed it (yes I used a camera stand). Then I cut it and edited it. But I’m not ready to throw away Jonas’ fabulous producer skills just yet, I did have him help me creating the “burn-out” effect on the last few frames of the vid 😉

This is the first music video I’ve ever made and the second video I’ve made..ever (you’ve probably seen the behind the scenes video to “My James Dean”). I was inspired by old pictures and the creepy sense of the circus that the TV series “Carnivale” captured so well. The entire video was shot in my bedroom (but I won’t do a Pamela just yet), and the fab hat and stick was borrowed from my friend Theresia, they used to belong to her grandpa..
