Christmas concert December 1st

I would like to welcome you to my annual Christmas concert “Sofia Talvik’s Julmys” at Clarion Sign in Stockholm, Sweden, December 1st!

We’re going to treat you to a super cosy evening, starting with Christmas songs from the Swedish Lucia candidates to set the mood and then some lovely Christmassy songs from me and my band. I’m also very happy to announce that renowned jazz singer Anna Christoffersson will be joining me for a couple of songs. The evening starts at 6pm (kl 18) and me and my band will be on stage at 8pm (kl 20).

There is no cover charge so bring all your friends!

The evening will also be a little release party for my new Christmas single “Santa” which will be released the same day. This year I’m releasing it in collaboration with The Body Shop’s and ECPAT’s campaign “Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People“.

I’m releasing Florida on YouTube

I’m releasing my new album Florida on YouTube. Over a couple of months I will be doing animated videos of the lyrics to each song on the album. When the whole video version of the album is released I will compile all videos and make it available as a download.

New EP on its way!

We begun the recordings of a new EP suite yesterday. Christian Hörgren who plays the cello in my band will produce the first one. Here’s some pictures from the studio.

Florida to be released in Japan!

Japanese record company Coco Hearts is releasing my album “Florida” December 22nd.

“The album will be designed as a Christmas present from Cocoheart to Japanese music lovers. The best gift, isn’t it!” says Coco Hearts.

The album will be released as a special Japan release with additional bonus tracks. I’m really looking forward to our new collaboration. I want to celebrate this especially by reminding all of you to download my free remix album “Street of Dreamix” where Japanese artists Himawarii contributed with a remix. Download it here!

Obsessions

It’s funny how people find different ways to listening to music. Me – I get obsessed. I listen to the same song over and over again, and then I move on to listen to the whole album where I usually develop new favorites that I listen to over and over again.

It’s been the same way always for me. When I first heard Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush to this week when I’ve been listening to High Violet by The National. So far I’ve been obsessed by Conversation 16 to Blood Buzz Ohio to Lemonworld … I’ve never been a fan of The National, but with their new album they really opened a door to their world. It’s just the perfect soundtrack for my life right now.
