I’m very excited to announce my first Austria tour. For sure I’ve played a concert or two in Austria before, but this is my first real tour there and the first time I come back to Vienna since I was a tiny little girl. I’m so excited to announce that I was charting as the 3rd most played artist on Folk Radio USA in December, and that my Christmas album When Winter Comes charted as no 5! My new Christmas single charted as no 7 and some other songs from the album as 27, 43 and 62.

For over 10 years I’ve made it my tradition to write and release a free Christmas single every year.
Some part of me was most likely hoping that one of those songs would become the new ”Santa’s super sleigh” and I could spend the rest of my days living large like Hugh Grant in ”About a boy” 😉 At the same time I have actively sabotaged this chance by not writing any upbeat silly Christmas carols. Instead I have focused on the darker side of Christmas that almost never gets highlighted anywhere. Some of the songs have been released as a benefit to organisations working with homeless people, against trafficking, and other charities. But most of all I just wanted to give my fans a Christmas gift.
This year I’ve re-imagined, re-recorded, re-mixed and re-mastered these songs to make them come together as an album. This album is unique, not just because 13 of the 14 songs are originals but because the songs focus on the darker side of Christmas, something you don’t hear that often in Christmas music.
The New single “This Great Old Christmas Night” is a song inspired by old Irish folk songs. The production is simple and clear, with only some guitar, violin and cello. It’s a song about leaving this world at Christmas.
