Sofia Talvik – Americana / Folk with Swedish Roots
Unmistakably Nordic in flavor, Sofia Talvik somehow still conforms to American interpretations of her own original music, a North Sea siren blending sparkle and melancholy, creating a special niche of folk music.
In a few weeks the first single from my upcoming album “Jonestown” will be released. We’re also releasing a video to the single and the preparations are in full progress. The talented designer/tailor Sanna Nyström will design a beautiful dress for me to wear in the video, and today we met up to discuss her thoughts about the design and take some measurements.

Today I met up with artist and producer Tobias Fröberg to start recording demos for my third album. I’m quite excited that Tobias might be producing it as I feel he can bring something new to my songs. And he’s got a microphone from the 30’s that looks like an exhaust pipe, how weird is that? but it does sound really nice. It was lovely to play back home, and the old dancing ground at Allmag was magical.
