Unmistakably Nordic in flavor, Sofia Talvik somehow still conforms to American interpretations of her own original music, a North Sea siren blending sparkle and melancholy, creating a special niche of folk music.
My Drivin’ & Dreaming tour is nearing its end but President Obama wouldn’t have it that I didn’t have any more shows in Washington, DC 😉 so I had to schedule a show at the House of Sweden on February 24th (I didn’t want to be responsible for the US invading Sweden after all). Coming home from a trip to the south of Sweden and my nephew’s christening in a church built in 1653 (yes, I’m from Europe where history is from haha) I was pleasantly surprised by two reviews of my work. Our CMJ tour has spread itself all the way to Washington, DC. We’re doing an exclusive gig at House of Sweden on the 26th of October. Make sure you RSVP to the gig if you want to come!
