Fantastic Badmouth just scored a big fat 10 for their EP ” T – Part Three of H.A.T.E” on Rocknytt!

“From what I can tell, the songs are written by Sofia Talvik. So congratulations on a more than great job done there, because these songs are deadly! Do you have a driver’s license? Don’t play this in the car, or you’ll be pressing the pedal to the metal. Are you a teetotaler? Don’t listen to this or you’ll be having a beer  headbanging beyond sense and reason. (…)

I’m cheap with giving full points, but here’s my second and best-motivated tenner ever! The motivation? Well, listen or read the text above again. Or better yet, do both!”

If you want to catch Badmouth and all these awesome songs live – get your ass over to RoQ in Stockholm, Sweden this Friday for their releaseparty. And if you can’t wait – get their EP WHICH IS RELEASED TODAY!!!! here: Sofia’s music store, Itunes, Amazon

V – Update #5

Delusional by Sofia Talvik, video by Martin Obert

It’s just a few weeks left until we’re releasing ‘V – Part Three of L.O.V.E’ and I just got this awesome video for the single ‘Delusional’. The video is made by Martin Obert and I asked him about his inspiration for the video, and here’s what he said:

I imagined the video when I was coming home late in the night. I was waiting for the bus and as I was sitting leaned forward with my hands together a lamp above threw a shadow on the ground. It was shaped a little like a human head and then it stroke me – there is a cool video in there.

I made the video under my table; with two lamps, two hands, a camera and a laptop for live view. I never did any hand shadows so I’ve also had to learn how and experiment a lot. That’s what made it challenging and interesting – I had to come up with a story that is possible to tell with a very limited set of expressive elements.

Check out this awesome little teaser for the video. The full length video will be released soon so hang in there!

If you haven’t pledged yet, please help us fund this project by ordering any of the cool stuff here!

Lonely in Austin

This motel room seems so depressing right now. We had such a good time together here. I tried to spend some time by the pool but it’s really windy today and a lot of clouds. It feels like something has gone horribly wrong, me being here without the guys, like I overslept and missed the plane or something. Fortunately I’ll meet up with Worldsound tonight, and maybe some other friends. Some facebook friends invited me to some bar tonight as well, which is really nice of them, but I dread going back downtown Austin now that the festival is over. It feels like the place is going to be deserted and I want to remember it like it was last night with loads and loads of people on 6th street, bands playing in every bar and an air of opportunies… I’ll probably lurk at the motel and write a song about my self pity…

Social media monday

I’m currently trying to connect all of my social media sites to update and talk to each others. A bit confusing but it’s working pretty decent. My website is run from wordpress and i got plugins that will publish updates of my posts to twitter.com, ping.fm. My RSS feed is feeding feedburner.com with all the news and my facebook and myspace pages are picking it up and publishing it on my pages there.

If anyone got any other smooth solutions to integrating stuff more, feel free to contact me. You’ll find me online on these links. 🙂
