Unmistakably Nordic in flavor, Sofia Talvik somehow still conforms to American interpretations of her own original music, a North Sea siren blending sparkle and melancholy, creating a special niche of folk music.
I’m excited to be doing a concert on July 26th at the Swedish American Museum in Chicago. The show starts at 7pm and the tickets are $15 pre-sale (click here to buy now) or $20 at the door. There will be a V.I.P. Reception with a meet and greet with me beginning at 6 pm tickets cost $25 per person for that.
Last time I played at the museum I was on my Lollapalooza tour so I’m very excited to be invited back for a show on my Drivin’ & Dreaming tour. I hope to see you all there!
You know the rat in the pizza myth. So there’s a couple of misperceptions about our tour and the RV, and some of them are so reaccuring that I felt I had to write a little post about it. Everyone’s been really sweet and I know they all mean well and just don’t know better but here’s the most common things people think/ask/tell us about our tour and the RV. It always makes me smile đ
“You can stay in our guest room and have a good night’s sleep in a REAL bed” Well, we actually have a brand new IKEA Sultan Queen Size mattress with a real feather duvet in our bedroom in the RV, but thanks đ
“You should come over for dinner, when was the last time you had a home cooked meal?” Probably for lunch, or dinner yesterday… Actually most of the food we eat is home cooked, in the RV. I actually wish we would have more money to spend on eating out. But we ALWAYS appreciate being invited for dinner, so please keep inviting us!
“It must be nice to have a two year vacation, just cruising around the US! Seriously, that would be a dream come true. But we have to work every day with booking shows, doing promotion, driving to the next gig, performing etc. We work more and harder than we ever had before. And it’s worth it for sure, but it’s NO vacation.

Hereâs the song we worked on the vocals of last time we were in the studio. Weâve now just begun the mixing process and itâs still far from ready, but it will give you a clue of how the new EP will sound.
The song is called âThe Warâ and is about how you sometimes can feel that youâre fighting the whole world, just because of one person.
You can still help us out by pledging, and letting your friends know about our mission to write yet another chapter in the book of L.O.V.E!
