New Live Album

In September I’m releasing my new album “Drivin’ & Dreaming LIVE” with live recordings we did in different venues on the US tour. It will be a full length CD with a mix of songs from all my albums, recorded with room mics and from the sound board to give you the ultimate live experience, just like you were at one of my concerts.

Many of you asked me about the Swedish folk song that I sang in my concerts. It will be featured on the album.

The download is acoustic versions of all the songs from my latest album “The Owls Are Not What They Seem”, recorded outside in scenic locations around the US.

So for the first window of my calendar I’m giving you my new Christmas single “One Last Wish For Christmas”. Every year I release a new original Christmas single. It’s always for free, but you can choose your own price if you want to pay for it anyway. A huge thank you to my wonderful band back in Sweden who have done an amazing job recording and mixing the single; Joakim Lundgren my co-producer, perkussionist, backing strings arranger, mixer and masterer, Marcus Högquist on guitar, Christian Hörgen on cello, Janne Manninen on bass and Kristoffer Jonsson on trombone.

And thank you to all of my friends and fans who supported my tour this year! I hope you all enjoy this little token of appreciation. Merry Christmas!

“L” is here! Happy Valentine’s!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’m so happy to announce that we are releasing “L – Part One of L.O.V.E” – the first of four EPs in the L.O.V.E saga today on Valentine’s Day!

First of all I would like to say thank you to all my fans who have made this EP possible by taking part of the production through pledgemusic.com. It’s been great having you along on the journey and I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have.

Fabulous Myspace

I suppose many of you that read this blog has found it through myspace.

I know everybody's already been raving about myspace for ages but I have to cheer a bit more. This time it's because of a wonderful pianist I found through myspace and immediately tied to the new album.

I actually used to play the piano myself. I played classic paino for about 10 years, but then I moved out of my parents place and realised that a guitar is so much lighter than a piano. I still play when I'm at their house and I sometimes dream of having my own piano, but for now the guitar will have to do, and for playing on the album, well I better leave that to someone more talanted than me.

So when I stumbled over Jozsef Nemeth's myspace site I couldn't have been more lucky. Funnily enough Jozsef is Swedish, like me, even though he lives in the US. And with you eight million or so Americans on myspace, we Swedes have to fight for our own, right? 😉 Anyway, we exchanged a couple of emails and later that week a mp3 found its way to my inbox. I didn't dare to hope too much as you never know with people on the internet (just a while ago one person offered to mix my album in Garageband… so there sure are all kinds). But the piano Jozsef had composed for my song was wonderful, daring, careful and beautiful.

I'll post some samples later on, so until then you'll have to make do with this pic of Jozsef. And visit his myspace site for some of his own samples.
