Get a free summer single!

Summer is here!! And so is my new summer single “Strawberries on my tongue”. This first week all of you who have twitter gets the new single for free before everyone else, with just one tweet. When you add your twitter name and password here, you get a download link to the single, and your twitter account automatically sends out a message on your twitter flow that you downloaded the single. (no information of names and passwords is saved so don’t worry). This is the way you pay for the single, by simply telling your friends about it. Neat huh!

The single is mixed by renowned producer Magnus Frykberg and the B-side (YES! You get two versions of this baby) is a live recording with a guest performance from world musician Steafan Hannigan who has worked with Björk and Depeche Mode to mention a few.

On saturday the 16th you’ll be able to see me live, and hear the summer single live as well at Florida Music Festival! I’m playing at “The Social” (downtown Orlando) 9pm. Be sure to come by and have a listen!

Twitterers gets it first!

In May I’m releasing the new summer single. The song is called “Strawberries on my tongue” and captures the essence of Swedish summer, with rainy days and sweet strawberries. I’m missing out on Swedish summer this year as I’m going to Florida to play at Florida Music Festival and start the recordings on my new album, but this song will remind me even though I’m on the other side of the Atlantic.

As you can see on the front page twitterers can download the remix album “Street of Dreamix” with just one tweet and the summer single will also be released exclusively to all of you who follow me on twitter first. Lonely in Austin

This motel room seems so depressing right now. We had such a good time together here. I tried to spend some time by the pool but it’s really windy today and a lot of clouds. It feels like something has gone horribly wrong, me being here without the guys, like I overslept and missed the plane or something. Fortunately I’ll meet up with Worldsound tonight, and maybe some other friends. Some facebook friends invited me to some bar tonight as well, which is really nice of them, but I dread going back downtown Austin now that the festival is over. It feels like the place is going to be deserted and I want to remember it like it was last night with loads and loads of people on 6th street, bands playing in every bar and an air of opportunies… I’ll probably lurk at the motel and write a song about my self pity…

New interview on Riveting Riffs!

Canadian Music Zine “Riveting Riffs” has just published a fresh interview with me!

“Sofia Talvik is a pop star on the rise. She has already conquered her native Sweden, won the hearts of those at Chicago’s Lollapalooza music festival in August of 2008, and in March of 2009 the gifted singer / songwriter, with the breathtaking vocals, will be appearing at SXSW in Austin Texas, followed by an appearance at the Canadian Music Festival in Toronto, Canada. Talvik, who writes all of her lyrics in English, has received strong radio play on Sweden’s radio stations, and recently recorded a mini concert and interview for SR P3, which was aired on November 12th. Her current CD Jonestown is causing quite a stir on the international music scene, with her single, “My James Dean…”
