Sofia Talvik’s Xmas Calendar 2012 #4

Sofia Talvik’s Xmas Calendar, window 4

On my US tour I’ve had the privilige to play with some really talanted people. One of them is Michelle Lewis, a singer/songwriter based in Boston, MA and today’s window is a special greeting from Michelle to all of you. This is a video of Michelle singing “In The Bleak Midwinter”. Michelle’s albums, the perfect gift to anyone who already has everything, are available at http://michellelewismusic.com/wordpress/store/. If you want to enjoy Michelle’s beautiful music in your home, she’s also taking requests for house concerts for 2013. You can contact her through her website http://michellelewismusic.com/.

Drivin’ & Dreaming Episode #7

Episode 7 is now up and running. In this episode we get stuck in Boston traffic and you’ll see some great New England Singer/Songwriters whom I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with, Christa Gniadek and Michelle Lewis. I’m on NBC’s Mass Appeal and WERS Left end. You can hear the radio shows from the Boston area here!

Remember to share the episodes with your friends to keep them coming. It’s tons of work making every episode and I’m doing it all by myself on top of bookings, promotion, playing live and trying to keep things in shape on the tour. A few extra views will keep making me motivated to put in the extra work! 🙂

Did you miss any of the previous episodes? You can watch them all here!

You can see pictures from all my shows on my Facebook page here!

As usual all music in the episode can be found here! Help me keep the “Drivin’ & Dreaming Tour” on the road. Donate Gas, Food and Beer – Click this link and follow the instructions http://pic.twitter.com/7dEothYK

I’ve done a couple of radio shows the last weeks so I figured I should put up a post for those of you who missed them when they aired.

On June 14th I visited Bostons #1 music show Dropping Knowledge WMBR 88.1 FM and played a couple of songs. If you missed it you can listen here! (don’t be alarmed when it wants you to download, it’s just a little file so that you can stream it in iTunes)
In short, Sofia Talvik has the talent, but she also has something far rarer in an artist—boundless determination, and a genuine love of performance over fame.
That’s what Left End WERS 88,9 FM wrote after having me over for some songs and a chat on June 24th. You can read the whole (awesome!) article here!

You can also listen to the show here or just listen to it by hitting play below:

A couple of days ago I visited The Left End on WERS 88.9 FM in Boston and you can tune in and listen to it Sunday night (early Monday morning) June 25th 12:15 am EST. So all you Europeans are in luck as this means Monday morning for you. Pretty early but still. I’ll also try to put up a link so that you can listen later on if you miss it. To listen go to http://wers.org/ and click either of the buttons on the top of the page that says LISTEN LIVE (you can also click directly here)!

When I got there they told me about this lady that had been there a day before me with all her foot pedals … turned out to be fellow Swede Theresa Andersson. Too bad we missed each other in Boston!

2 new interviews about the tour!

Swedish newspaper ST-tidningen just published a big interview with me about my tour (and put me on the cover too)! It’s in Swedish of course, but if you’re curious about reading some more about the tour and a lot of other stuff, like alligators, Florida and socialism the Boston music blog Allston Pudding just published a looooong interview with me (good thing you don’t really have the same restriction with space on the internet as you do in a paper). Read the Allston Pudding Interview here!
